A great deal of both the Old and New Testaments is focused on the relationship between God's sovereignty and Man's role as vice-regent on earth. Adam was to have dominion over God's creation, yet he failed to subordinate his thoughts and actions to the King's precepts. Likewise, Israel's kings failed to make a copy of the law and read it daily, leading to eventual destruction and captivity. When the true King arrives, He has much to say about the Kingdom of God. Today, as much as ever, we need to have a clear understanding of Christ's Kingdom teaching and how we are to participate in the establishment and growth of His Kingdom.
